Views of the wooded slopes of the Maresme with the sea in the background, a topography of gentle slopes and an imposing pine forest, with ancient trees. We wanted the project to adapt to the site and make use of all these conditioning factors.
The special microclimate of Maresme and its magical atmosphere is largely determined by the presence of numerous pine trees that fix the sandy soil with their roots, protect with their canopies from strong winds and heat in summer and serve as shelter for numerous species.
Thus, the house is broken down into volumes that are oriented towards the best views, are displaced to preserve all the trees on the plot, and also interact with them. The pine trees on the site become one of the focal points of each room.
The interior layout has been optimized to eliminate unnecessary routes, so that each family member has his or her personal space, but also to encourage interaction. Thus, double-height spaces are combined with single-height spaces, large relationship rooms are combined with more intimate spaces for rest and reflection.
